MEPA held its 18th Annual General Meeting on the 17th September 2020 at Summit Hotel, Subang Jaya, Selangor. The AGM was attended by 37 members. All the proposed was accepted without amendment after a lively exchange of views on the way forward of MEPA.
President, Mohsen Hasbollah who chaired the proceedings nominated members to continue supporting MEPA and remain relevant to the energy industry of the country.
The year 2019 saw MEPA’s activities focusing on building relationship with the relevant authorities and be recognised as a professional body with integrity to channel expert views on energy related matters.
MEPA continue with its strong position to be involved in the nation’s development to produce competent energy managers.
To strive our mission in strengthening MEPA, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) to organise training and project in energy related and supplementary modules for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
MEPA will also be having MOU with identified institution of higher learning to be a partner in research and development toward the improvement of energy efficiency and conservation. The collaboration with universities will enhanced and introduces younger generation to energy related knowledge and experience for their future career.
MEPA has formed the Project Management Team to coordinate and manage the training in energy management programme and technical training. The objectives of the team are to ensure competent training is offered to members of MEPA especially in acquiring CPD.
The amendments to the constitution of MEPA are needed to strengthen the constitution, uphold the members professionalism, discipline and to protect the image of MEPA.
